Over the past 20 years the number of properties experiencing low pressure has fallen significantly. This is largely due to infrastructure investments by water companies.
We encourage water companies to monitor their water supply pressure. Whenever there is a pressure problem, we ask companies to make it clear who is responsible for fixing the pressure. (Sometimes low pressure may be due to an internal plumbing fault, which would be the customer’s responsibility.) Companies will decide what action is necessary to fix the problem. We expect them to be clear about what work is necessary and to support the householder in solving the issue.
