Campaigning for water charges that everyone can afford and ensuring services are able to stand the test of time will be among the leading priorities for CCW over the next three years.

The voice for water consumers has published its Forward Work Programme for 2020 to 2023 (pdf) which sets out our mission, strategic aims and campaigns for the start of the decade.

Much of our work will focus on campaigning to improve water regulation for consumers, making sure water companies get the basics right for their customers while striving to create excellent, accessible and affordable services for all.

CCW will also ensure the industry is alive to the challenges posed by climate change and population growth, embracing the latest innovation to make sure services remain fit for the future.

We’ll also continue to act as a strong advocate for consumers – whether that’s resolving their complaints against water companies and retailers or working to secure more support and protection for those people living in vulnerable circumstances. That work will be absolutely critical to help consumers and the industry navigate the current coronavirus outbreak and the challenges we will all face on the road to recovery.
