CUSTOMER complaints against water companies will be one of the items on the agenda at the next meeting of the Consumer Council for Waters (CCWater) Western Committee on Tuesday, 10 September.

The water watchdog is keen to welcome members of the public to the meeting which will be held at 1pm in The Castle Hotel, Castle Green, Taunton, Somerset TA1 1NF.

Other areas of discussion will include the next price review process, which will set the prices water companies can charge their customers from 2015 to 2020, as well as updates from the Environment Agency and Drinking Water Inspectorate.

Charles Howeson, chair of CCWater’s Western Committee, said:

These meetings are a good opportunity for members of the public to learn more about their water company’s performance and plans for the future.

We are always very keen to welcome consumers, especially as the water industry prepares for the price review which will affect bill prices over the five years from 2015.
