Public invited to attend water watchdog’s regional meeting

Water customers are being invited to attend The Consumer Council for Water’s (CCWater) next meeting of its Central & Eastern Committee on Wednesday, May 15 at 1.15pm

The water watchdog is keen to hear from members of the public at the meeting which will be held in the Conference Room at Cambridge Central Library, 7 Lion Yard, Cambridge CB2 3QD.

Water companies’ customer service performance levels will be one of the key items on the agenda and representatives from Anglian Water, Cambridge Water, Essex & Suffolk Water, Severn Trent Water, South Staffordshire Water, the Drinking Water Inspectorate and the Environment Agency will be in attendance.

Members of the public will be able to raise any issues they have regarding water and sewerage services during a ten minute slot at the start of the meeting.

Bernard Crump, chair of CCWater’s Central and Eastern Committee, said: “This year it is particularly important we hear the views of customers as the water industry prepares for the price review, which will affect the next five years.
“Meetings like this are a good opportunity to hear from customers face-to-face.”
