Northern region
CCW Northern region represents consumers of Hartlepool Water, Northumbrian Water, United Utilities Water and Yorkshire Water.

Our work in the Northern region is led by Senior Policy Manager, Andy White.
Andy has almost three decades experience of representing consumers to ensure they get the service and support they need from their water companies. In addition to leading the Northern region he heads up CCW’s Social Policy team which focuses on issues of vulnerability, affordability, charging policy, and service to business customers. Andy helped secure the introduction of measures to support customers struggling to pay their water bills, and has worked with all water companies to establish social tariff schemes and to ensure their effectiveness. Those schemes now support over 700,000 households through more affordable bills.
Local Consumer Advocates
Andy and his team work with Local Consumer Advocates (LCAs). They are a customer of at least one of the water companies in the Northern region and their work is focused on the services provided by water companies in this area. Find out more about the LCAs and who they are in this region.
