Currently sits on the Boards of BBC Media Action, (formerly BBC World Service Trust) Manchester Metropolitan University, the Body Shop Foundation, Cedar Management Services and is Chairman of Kamla Foundation.
A former Board Member of Harvest Housing Group, Carnegie (UK) Trust, Fabrick Housing Group and NACRO (National Association for Care & Resettlement of Offenders). In addition, he also sat on the Advisory Boards of the Home Office and the Cabinet Office, working closely with senior Civil Servants and Ministers leading on the agenda to strengthen civil society.

A Non-Executive Director for over 17 years, serving on boards varying from a Housing Association, a Sports Governing Body and advisory panel for the education regulator ‘Ofqual’. Active member of their Audit, Recruitment, Reward & Remuneration Sub Committees.
Developed approach through a Masters degree in Professional Development (Public Administration) and the Government Equalities Office ‘About Time Public Leaders Advanced Course’. Worked for Local Authorities, Public Bodies and now the Civil Service specialising in business advice and economic regeneration. Qualified Prince2 and AMP project manager, awarded a Winston Churchill Travel Fellowship for international research. Currently works for the Department for International Trade as the Deputy Head of Trade for Yorkshire & Humber and the Northern Powerhouse.
